Both GUI Clients and Web OPAC contain a range of funtions, that use E-mail such as Send Orders (Acquisition Module), Send Claims (Circulation Module ), or you can send your comments to the library by using this "Feedback" button (Web OPAC).

This print will be sent as attachment. The email text is only an address of welcome.

The conditions for sending an email are the following:
  1. Mailserver, From address and the subject line
  2. Print Configuration
  3. Send Type
  4. Ensure the Patrons have Valid E-mail Addresses

2.1 MAILSERVERS, FROM ADDRESS AND SUBJECT LINE

To send a mail from the GUI-Client, the mailserver must be available for both Alephino-Server and Alephino-Applications and work with simple SMTP-log and without authentication.

The Web OPAC supports the authentification of Mail shipping (SMPT-Auth) with the PLAIN, LOGIN and CRAM-MD5 methods see IETF-Memo
SMTP Service Extension for Authentication. To use this service activate the (MailAuth) section in the alipac.cfg fiel, ../etc directory, and delete the * at the beginning of the lines.
